Ethiopian Airlines has introduced On-board Wi-Fi Internet connectivity using the latest state-of-the-art broadband satellite technology (Ka-band). Passengers will enjoy reliable connectivity for sending emails, shopping online or even chatting on social media while flying over the clouds!

Passengers can access the inflight connectivity service by purchasing vouchers at Ethiopian Airlines sales outlets, Addis Ababa International Airport Customer Service Desk, Boarding Gates and Cabin Crews onboard the flights. Online sales through credit/debit card and ShebaMiles miles are also additional options for passengers to enjoy the service. The inflight Wi-Fi can be accessed with smart phones, tablets and laptops.

Bombardier Q400 Aircraft

Kenya Airways has deployed a Bombardier Q400 aircraft operated by Jambojet on select routes locally and in the region to enable you enjoy better connectivity, convenient flight times and seamless connections from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to your destinations.

The Bombardier Q400 is an efficient, comfortable and safe airplane which has a capacity of 78 passengers, two pilots and two attendants (in Jambojet uniform).

Emirates commits to reducing single-use plastic

Emirates has made a network-wide commitment to reduce single-use plastics on board its aircraft. All plastic straws, plastic swizzle sticks and stirrers will be replaced with eco-friendly alternatives by the end of the year. From August, plastic bags used for inflight retail purchases will also be replaced with paper bags.

Air France – Travelling with Infants

For safety reasons, customers traveling with an infant occupying an individual seat on Air France (AF) operated flights must travel with an approved car seat.  The approved car seat must be provided and fastened with the seat belt by the customer.

  • Harness CAReS (Child Aviation Restraint System) is not permitted for infants under 2 years of age on an individual seat. However, the harness is accepted for children from 2 years old
  • When a customer travels with only one infant occupying an individual seat, the use of an approved car seat is mandatory.
  • When a customer travels with two infants, only one infant can be seated on the customers’ lap. The second infant must be seated on an individual seat and secured with an approved car seat.

Kenya Airways, Air France, KLM – new fare options

On 25 June these airlines have introduced Light, Standard & Flex fares on economy class flights.
