Kicheche Camps Fam Trip
Our directors, Nimish and Sushma, recently visited Kicheche camps collection in the Mara which are:
- Kicheche Valley in Naboisho Conservancy,
- Kicheche Bush in Olare Motorogi Conservancy and
- Kicheche Mara in Mara North Conservancy.
The camps are accessible by air and by road (4WD vehicles) only.
Kicheche Valley
Kicheche Valley is located in acacia woodlands in a secluded valley of the Naboisho Conservancy, the second largest conservancy in the Masai Mara ecosystem with 55,000 hectares of land. It is also famous for its dominance by the cats (lions, leopards and hyenas). It has a total of 6 luxury tents. The camp offers beautiful scenery, exceptional wildlife viewing, and an intimate safari experience.
Kicheche Bush
Kicheche Bush camp is situated in the heart of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, and known for its excellent wildlife and scenic viewing. With only 6 spacious tents, the camp offers a very personalized experience. Guests can partake in a variety of activities such as game drives in 4×4 open sided vehicles, guided nature walks, hot air balloon safaris, etc.
Kicheche Mara
Known for its excellent wildlife and scenic viewing, Kicheche Mara camp is a classic tented camp situated in a prime wildlife area in the Mara North Conservancy. It is about 15 minutes drive from Mara North airstrip. The camp has a total of 10 tents. Guests get to enjoy sighting of the big five, guided bush walks, game drives, while enjoying the modern luxury of the camp. Also guests can, at an extra cost, visit the Mara Elephant Project (MEP) while staying at this Camp. MEP aims to conserve and protect elephants and it also offers other educational activities that guests can book in advance.
