Road Safaris

Experience unique landscapes as you leisurely travel to your safari destination in a 4×4 LandCruiser with a pop-up roof and with a sitting capacity of up to 8 passengers. As you head to your destination, your experienced driver/guide will share information on any attractions that you come across and will be willing to answer all your questions. Road safaris are good for multi-destination itineraries, are cost effective if you are three or more in a group, and allow you to get a feel of the country side, local people and roadside activities. A road safari will also give you ample opportunities for photography along the way.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo West

Pickup at 08.00 am and transfer by LandCruiser to Tsavo West National Park (a 5 hour journey), arriving at your camp/lodge before lunch. After lunch you will proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive with a visit to Mzima Springs where you will view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species. The greenery surrounding the springs is a welcome contrast to the harsh terrain that forms the bulk of Tsavo West. Return to camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Amboseli

You will proceed for a morning game drive before returning to camp/lodge for breakfast. Check out and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon will be spent at leisure followed by an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli

Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, you will set off for a morning game drive after breakfast. You will drive back to your camp/lodge and relax before lunch. After lunch you will have an afternoon game drive followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

Early morning game drive. After breakfast at the lodge, check out at 10.00 am and depart for Nairobi.
